Job Description
Site Evaluation & Feasibility Studies
Analyze land conditions (soil, slope, water drainage, etc.) to determine suitability for development.2.
Infrastructure Design
Design essential systems like roads, stormwater drainage, sewage systems, and water supply. Plan grading, retaining walls, and utility layouts.
3.
Regulatory Approvals
Prepare and submit plans to local authorities for permits and approvals. Ensure designs comply with zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
4.
Project Planning & Cost Estimation
Estimate costs for infrastructure and construction work. Assist developers in planning timelines and phasing of large projects.
5.
Construction Oversight
Supervise site preparation and infrastructure installation. Ensure contractors follow design specifications and quality standards.
6.
Coordination with Stakeholders
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, environmental consultants, and local authorities. Communicate technical aspects to non-engineers (like developers or investors).
7.
Risk Management & Safety
Identify potential engineering or environmental risks. Ensure compliance with safety standards during construction.
8.
Post-Construction Services
Inspect final work for structural integrity and code compliance. Oversee maintenance planning or handover to property managers. Assess environmental impact and infrastructure requirements (roads, water, sewer, etc.).
