Job Description

:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in civil contracting and construction works, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. A degree in Civil Engineering and a certification equivalency are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans for projects. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and quantity take-offs for civil works. Monitor project resources in line with the project objectives. Prepare progress reports and keep stakeholders informed on project milestones, delays, and corrective measures.

2. Design and Coordination:

Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure integration of civil works. Ensure civil designs comply with relevant codes, specifications, and standards. Review and produce, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for civil projects.

3. Site Supervision and Execution:

Oversee the execution of civil and structural works, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. Manage on-site contractors and subcontractors, resolving issues related to work progress and construction methods. Maintain records of inspection, testing, and site activities in line with QA/QC procedures.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

Establish strong lines of communication with project managers, consultants, and clients. Collaborate with project teams to track changes and variations.

5. Professional Standards:

Uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all internal and external communications. Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills in resolving design and execution issues. Ensure compliance with local authorities' regulations including ADM and relevant construction guidelines.

Qualifications:

A degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil engineering within the UAE. Strong understanding of construction methods, site activates management. Proficient in project management software, AutoCAD, and estimation tools. Familiar with local authority regulations and approval processes in Abu Dhabi.
