About the Client:
Our client is a leading Environmental Engineering firm in Abu Dhabi, committed to developing sustainable infrastructure solutions that minimize environmental impact while enhancing transportation efficiency. They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong focus on Transportation Engineering to lead their transportation-related projects.
Job Summary:
The Senior Civil Engineer (Transportation Engineering Focus) will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of transportation infrastructure projects within the context of environmental sustainability. This individual will apply their specialized expertise in transportation engineering, coupled with an understanding of environmental regulations, to deliver projects that balance transportation needs with ecological considerations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of transportation engineering principles, extensive experience in the UAE, and fluency in both English and French.
Responsibilities:

• Transportation Planning & Design (Environmental Context):

• Develop transportation master plans and feasibility studies, integrating environmental impact assessments.
• Design road and highway alignments, intersections, and interchanges, considering environmental constraints.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments and develop traffic management plans, with a focus on minimizing emissions and pollution.
• Design bridge structures and related infrastructure, incorporating sustainable materials and construction practices.
• Develop sustainable transportation solutions, including public transit, pedestrian/bicycle facilities, and electric vehicle infrastructure.
• Traffic Engineering & Management (Sustainability Focus):

• Conduct traffic analysis and modelling using relevant software (e.g., PTV Vissim, Synchro), with an emphasis on environmental performance.
• Design traffic signal systems and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to optimize traffic flow and reduce emissions.
• Develop traffic management plans for construction zones and special events, minimizing environmental disruption.
• Analyze and improve traffic flow and safety, considering air quality and noise pollution.
• Develop and implement traffic safety audits, including environmental impact assessments.
• Project Management & Execution (Environmental Integration):

• Manage and oversee transportation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities (EAD, DMT).
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress, ensuring environmental protection measures are implemented.
• Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and international sustainability standards.
• Environmental Impact Assessment (Transportation Focus):

• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for transportation projects.
• Develop mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts, including air, noise, and water pollution.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Implement environmental monitoring programs during construction and operation.
• Technical Reporting & Documentation (Environmental Context):

• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations related to transportation projects, including environmental assessments.
• Document project designs, calculations, and specifications, highlighting sustainable practices.
• Maintain accurate project re
