JOB PURPOSE:

The Civil Draughtsman will be responsible for expediting the civil design drawings for the project under supervision of construction manager as per the project requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Independent handling of Civil Shop drawings production for the assigned project. Prepare structural drawings, architecture drawings and RC detail drawings to ascertain details through study and discussion with construction manager prior to starting work. Take off from the IFC and ADM approved drawings. Understand and abide by the particular drafting standards and formats of the assigned project. Coordinate architectural layout with structural elements ensuring conformity. Locate MEP requirements on shop drawings as per approved MEP builder's work. Update Building permits (setting outs with coordinates) as and when required. Assist the Planning team in updating weekly progress of construction through drawings, presentation as envisaged by them. Maintain record on status of shop drawings produced. Ensure that shop drawings produced are approved. Self correct to the best of ones ability, the shop structure drawings prepared before issuing them to the construction manager. Provide a time frame for producing RED LlNEand AS-BUILT drawings for Project record. Convey the time frame to the construction manager for further action. Prepare the necessary inputs for daily, weekly, and monthly progress reporting to the construction manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education Qualification:

Diploma or an AutoCAD certificate.

Experience:

A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a Civil Draughtsman.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Proficient in preparing and reviewing drawings (Architectural, RC detail drawings and structural). The resource must be willing to travel to project sites within UAE as and when required. Must possess the ability to understand and communicate information and ideas orally and in writing so the relevant stakeholders understand knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT and BIM. * Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to present technical drawings to a wide audience.
