Job Description

1. JOB SUMMARY

The Draftsman is responsible for creating precise and detailed shop drawings based on design and IFC (Issued for Construction) contract drawings to support the construction site team in executing projects accurately. This role involves producing structural and architectural shop drawings using AutoCAD for various projects. The Draftsman ensures that designs are effectively translated into practical, construction-ready drawings while collaborating closely with engineers and architects to maintain compliance with IFC contract requirements.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare detailed structural and architectural shop drawings. Prepare coordinated drawings between different disciplines of architectural layouts, elevations, sections, schedules, BOQ and structural drawings, then identify the conflicts and mismatches and report them to the technical manager. Checking sub-contractors' and suppliers' drawings for accuracy and rectifying any identified errors. Prepare as built drawing based on approved WIRs. Work closely with project teams, engineers, and architects to clarify design intent and technical requirements. Collaborate on precast drawing integration with architectural plans. Modify and update shop drawings to reflect changes or feedback from engineers and architects. Maintain accurate project documentation, including revisions and versions of drawings. Provide technical support to construction teams and address any issues related to drawings during the construction phase. Stay updated on advancements in drafting technology and industry practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of drawings.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in drafting and design technology/bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering. Proven experience as a Draftsman, ideally in construction, engineering, or architectural environments for a minimum of 3 years in UAE. Strong knowledge of structural and architectural design principles and drafting standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans.

Effective organizational skills to manage and maintain drawing files and project records. Strong problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and errors. Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
