We are seeking a skilled

Civil AutoCAD Draftsman

with strong experience in preparing detailed

shop drawings

for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, coordinating with site teams, and ensuring all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop

civil shop drawings

, including layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed construction drawings. Create detailed

AutoCAD drawings

based on project requirements, engineering inputs, and sketches. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to ensure drawings accurately reflect site conditions. Revise and update drawings based on comments, design changes, and site requirements. Ensure all drawings comply with

local standards

project specifications

, and

client requirements

. Maintain drawing records, documentation, and version control. Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings when required. Assist in preparing

as-built drawings

at project completion. Collaborate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural) to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency. Review and verify vendor drawings and incorporate them into project plans if required.

Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

(2D drafting essential; 3D is a plus). Minimum

2-5 years of experience

in civil drafting and shop drawings. Experience with infrastructure, buildings, roads, drainage, utilities, or related civil projects. Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Good communication and coordination skills. Knowledge of engineering standards and drafting practices.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with software such as

Civil 3D

,

Revit

, or

MicroStation

is an advantage. Experience working in contracting or consulting companies. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
