Job Description
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor automated CIP systems, selecting the appropriate cleaning cycles/programs for different equipment and production lines. Verify and control cycle parameters, including time, temperature, flow rate, and chemical concentrations, to ensure compliance with sanitation protocols. Prepare and handle cleaning solutions and chemicals safely, performing titrations and other tests (e.g., pH, ATP swabbing) to verify their effectiveness and concentration levels. Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical, automation, or chemical issues that arise during cleaning cycles, working with maintenance and engineering teams as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all cleaning cycles, test results, and chemical usage logs, ensuring full compliance with standards such as GMP, HACCP, and FSMA. Conduct pre- and post-CIP inspections to confirm cleanliness and proper equipment assembly, and perform basic routine maintenance on pumps, valves, and other CIP equipment. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance or handling chemicals. Coordinate effectively with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning operations efficiently and minimize downtime.
