The Chocolate Research and Development Specialist is responsible for creating, testing, and improving chocolate products. This role involves innovation, sensory evaluation, and collaboration with production and quality teams to ensure high-quality, market-ready chocolate products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new chocolate formulations, recipes, and product concepts.
Enhance existing chocolate products to improve quality, taste, or cost efficiency.
Test and evaluate new raw materials such as cocoa, cocoa butter, sweeteners, and fillings.
Conduct sensory evaluations and quality testing of finished products.
Design and execute laboratory and pilot-scale production experiments.
Collaborate with production, quality, and packaging teams to ensure scalability of new products.
Research global market trends in chocolate and confectionery innovations.
Document experimental results, reports, and product specifications.
Develop sustainable and healthier chocolate alternatives (low-sugar, plant-based, etc.).
Creativity and innovation in food product design.
