Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and repair components of
district cooling systems
, including ETS equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and control systems.
Troubleshoot issues related to chilled water supply, flow, and temperature consistency from the district cooling provider.
Collaborate with district cooling operators (e.g., Emicool) to resolve supply or network problems affecting building cooling.
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs of HVAC equipment linked to district cooling.
Monitor BAS (Building Automation System) and energy management systems to optimize system performance.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Maintain detailed service records and report issues promptly.
Qualifications:
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
working with
district cooling systems
and/or large-scale water-cooled chillers.
Strong understanding of
Energy Transfer Stations (ETS)
, chilled water hydraulics, and heat exchanger operation.
Knowledge of control systems, valve actuators, and pump operation in district cooling environments.
Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or related field.
Familiarity with Dubai's district cooling market and providers (e.g., Emicool) is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, flow diagrams, and BAS data.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with troubleshooting flow and temperature issues in large buildings served by district cooling.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency calls and coordinate with third-party providers.
Strong problem-solving skills and proactive maintenance mindset.
