Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced

Chiller Mechanic

to join our MEP/HVAC team. The Chiller Mechanic will be responsible for the

installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting

of

air-cooled and water-cooled chillers

and associated equipment such as pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, and FCUs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

chiller systems, control panels, refrigerant handling

, and preventive maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, and repair

air-cooled and water-cooled chillers

. Perform

preventive and corrective maintenance

on chillers, pumps, motors, compressors, cooling towers, and associated HVAC equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in chiller systems using diagnostic tools and control panels. Monitor system performance and carry out adjustments to ensure efficient operation. Conduct refrigerant charging, leak detection, and recovery in compliance with environmental standards. Calibrate and repair chiller control systems Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and service manuals. Coordinate with MEP teams on installation and testing of chilled water systems. Maintain service logs, maintenance checklists, and equipment reports. Ensure all work is carried out following

safety standards, codes, and company policies

Qualifications & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Mechanical Engineering.

2+ years

of experience in installation and maintenance of

chillers and chilled water systems

. Strong understanding of

chiller control systems

, refrigerants, and HVAC cycle. Experience in

HVAC systems within MEP/Facility Management/Industrial sectors

.

Skills & Competencies:

Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Familiar with HVAC testing tools (manifold gauges, multimeters, clamp meters, etc.). Understanding of HVAC safety practices and refrigerant regulations. Ability to work independently and in coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Strong attention to detail, time management, and task prioritization. Good communication and documentation/reporting skills.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
