Job Description

1. Departmental contact for queries from the staffs

2. Organize the disposal of hazardous chemicals and other waste products within the Ministry of Health Rules & Regulations as per the supervision of the his/her superior

3. Work with the management team to ensure compliance to Health and Safety Policies and procedures within the company

4. Review and approves any cancellation or refund requests before forwarding to Medical Director for final approval

5. Manage and instruct other technicians and laboratory supervisors

6. Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctioning equipment to the Medical Director

7. Approve discounts directly given to the client up to 20% according to the Discount Policy

8. Prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports within his/her managerial capacity which includes inventory of stocks, approval of requisitions and leave applications

9. Meet with and assist management team in planning and directing activities, explaining and implementing decisions, and resolving significant issues involving the staff

10. Work with members of the management team on matters involving benefits and employee safety

11. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures of AJMS Quality Management System

12. Recommend outside sources of laboratory and/or Radiology services

Ability to work calmly under pressure

Knowledge of clinical laboratory/Radiology procedures

Knowledge of the use and operation of laboratory/Radiology equipment

Ability to communicate effectively with their team, other healthcare professionals, and patients.

Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.

Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent

Coordinates, with the management when planning to take holiday / Leave for laboratory coverage before taking the holiday/ leave

Work alongside the management team on projects in the company

Undertake any technical tasks commensurate by the Management Team

Accurately follows verbal and written directions from senior management within the job tasks
