Our client, a leading UAE-based logistics company is looking for a seasoned Chief Investment Officer to guide and solidify the future plans for strategy, investments and innovation to discover new business opportunities, protect existing businesses and ensure financial stability, competitiveness, and growth.
You will also oversee budget control, talent management, and reporting to the Board, playing a pivotal role in guiding the organization\'s strategic direction and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Develop a comprehensive, inclusive corporate vision & growth strategy by collaborating with the CEO, ensuring successful formulation, communication & execution of the business strategy
- Lead development, planning & execution of investment strategies across existing or new businesses thereby enhancing financial performance
- Review & recommend the overall policies & procedures of Strategy, Investment, Innovation units & Executive Office
- Direct & oversee the result of market research studies - identifying growth opportunities for the organization\'s business including financial services, M&A, partnership opportunities, digital transformation, new products & services & preparing Board proposals
- Oversee the implementation of innovation strategies are integrated
- Oversee and approve the preparation and consolidation of the overall budgets for the department
- Liaise with all the stakeholders to understand business objectives and priorities and to recommend suitable business improvement initiatives

Requirements:

- 15+ years of expertise in strategy development, innovation, investment management and corporate finance with the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations
- Industry experience is a must, with a proven track record in logistics, working on M&As, JVs, IPOs, etc.
- Master in business administration, Strategic Management, or a related field is preferred
- Certifications such as PMP or Strategic Management Professional from the Association for Strategic Planning will be advantageous
