Job Purpose
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, budgeting, and financial operations of the school. The role ensures financial sustainability, regulatory compliance in Qatar, and effective financial governance aligned with British school standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement the school's long-term financial strategy in alignment with the school's vision and growth plans.
Advise the Board and senior leadership on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Support expansion projects, capital investments, and infrastructure planning.
2. Budgeting & Financial Control
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Monitor expenditure to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Analyze variances and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure efficient allocation of resources across academic and operational departments.
3. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure compliance with:
Qatar financial regulations and tax laws
Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) requirements
Audit and regulatory standards applicable to schools
Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
4. Accounting & Treasury Management
Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and fee collections.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial reserves.
Ensure timely salary payments and statutory deductions.
5. Risk Management & Governance
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
Ensure transparency, accountability, and ethical financial practices.
6. Procurement & Contract Management
Oversee procurement policies and vendor contracts.
Evaluate tenders and ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
Monitor supplier performance and contract obligations.
7. Fee Management & Revenue
Oversee school fee structures, payment plans, and collections.
Support enrollment growth strategies from a financial perspective.
Monitor outstanding fees and implement recovery processes.
8. Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
Set performance goals and ensure professional development.
Work collaboratively with academic and administrative leaders.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
