  • To direct and coordinate the overall activities of the Engineering Department.
  • To maintain regular inventories of the technical equipment.
  • Ensure quality is adhered to in all aspects of the job, by the Engineering team.
  • Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast with technological advances in surveillance & safety of the equipment.
  • Ensure that the company has a technological advantage by constant upgradation of the equipment.
  • Identify and implement new ideas, technologies, or processes to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
  • To comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Motivate and develop staff to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
  • Ensure that the team is trained in all safety provisions.
  • Implements preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all hotel complex, machinery, equipment and other facilities.
Develops and implements cost reduction, work simplification methods and techniques and improvement programmes * Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and others & General maintenance of the building
  • Operation trouble shooting.
  • Prepares and/or recommends requisitioning/ordering pertaining to maintenance of equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Participates in the execution of new projects including planning and costing.
  • Participates in the Engineering budget and business plan preparation.
  • Holds regular communication meetings with the staff, Director of Engineering and other departments.
  • Ensures the implementation of all instructions given by the Management / Director of Engineering
  • Conducts routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas.
Supervises the implementation of all maintenance contracts. * To be fully in-charge of the fire and safety policies and procedure for the hotel, Carries out fire brigade duties as required
  • Initiates energy and water conservation plans, as per Accor\xe2\x80\x99s environmental charter
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources, the analysis and reporting of financial data.

  • Being aware of others\' reactions , reasoning and logic, ability to persuade ,Active learning and able to assess and analyze
  • Master office reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Operation management and assessing hotels needs.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Proven ability to deal effectively with people from different cultures, levels and backgrounds
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Excellent Understanding of Accor operating culture and business
Qualifications
  • Engineering level graduate or equivalent required.
  • Five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the same field in hospitality.
  • Certified Facilities Manager, Project management, First Aid with CPR, Health and Safety etc.,
  • Very good knowledge in project management and roadmap planning
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Experience working in a distributed global teams environment
  • Good communication skills verbally and written
