Role Summary

Oversee and supervise commercial activities related to LNG and non-LNG shipping within the country of operation (one of the countries in GCC) and internationally. The role is tasked with coordinating with major market players to ensure sound commercial practices with regard to shipping practices and requirements. Responsible for all corporate planning activities for the company including short and long term objective setting, periodic business plans, and strategic initiatives. This is coupled with responsibility to identify, analyze and pursue development and growth opportunities as well as internally identify, set and monitor corporate performance matrices and indicators. The position also has responsibility for the oversight of all commercial and technical activities related to LNG shipping Joint Venture companies & vessels.

Strategic Accountabilities

• Ensure that the company\'s strategy is translated into annual operational business plans, as well as direct and manage the implementation of those plans, and follow up their progress, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and champion opportunities to drive continuous improvement across the company as whole in order to support the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategy.
• Contribute to the formulation of the company\'s overall strategy, and support its implementation, through aligning the divisional strategy with the corporate strategy.
• Identify and communicate potential commercial or technical issues encountered in the JV shipping fleet to improve performance and help in the dissemination of lessons learned.

The Chief Commercial Officer is expected to

• Identify profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
• Review and assess the potential of prospective partnerships with sector leading entities.
• Supervise chartering activities.
• Develop periodic financial scorecards for easy monitoring.
• Plan, develop and set divisional milestones and objectives.
• Oversee the company\'s interest in its JV shipping companies.
