Job Description

Job Title: Chief Accountant (Oil and Gas Industry) Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, adhering to industry regulations and accounting standards. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with industry-specific accounting regulations. General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review journal entries and adjustments, and conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting principles. Cost Control and Analysis: Monitor and analyze costs associated with exploration, production, and operations, collaborating with relevant departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize financial performance. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitor actual performance against targets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improved financial management. Requirements: Education and Certification: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master\'s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) preferred. Experience: Extensive accounting and financial management experience, with a focus on the oil and gas industry. Leadership experience overseeing financial accounting functions is required. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices specific to the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with cost accounting, revenue recognition, and joint venture accounting is advantageous. Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial accounting software and ERP systems used in the oil and gas industry. Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Job Type: Full-time Salary: Up to AED20,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
