Chief Accountant
Our client is looking for a Chief Accountant who will supervise the implementation of the monthly accounting and oversee the general
accounting operations with the main objective of delivering the highest standards of accounting in a timely manner.
The Chief Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

accounting operations with the main objective of delivering the highest standards of accounting in a timely manner.
The Chief Accountant will have the following responsibilities:
- Perform monthly/quarterly/yearly closings under UAE GAAP and IFRS.
- Develop and maintain accounting Policies & Procedures and internal controls.
- Participate in the development of accounting module in CTRM System
- Manage tax reporting, VAT Returns and reports to local Authorities
- Coordinate activities with other departments and liaise with the representative offices
- Ensure timely provision of information for Internal stakeholders and external audits in the
- University degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- At least five years of relevant experience, preferably in the similar role. Experience in audit
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE GAAP
- Recognised professional qualification in accounting
- Experience in commodity trading is preferred, Exposure to soft commodities trading is a plus
- Excellent computer skills, including MS office
- Experience in CTRM and ERPs. Previous experience in CTRM (ERP) implementation is a plus
- Proficient in English and Russian.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details.
- Sense of responsibility, flexibility and team spirit
- Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
- Able to work under pressure
