Chief Accountant / Finance Leader ( Rwanda Based)

Job Description
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions as per local requirements as well as Group Accounting Policy in line with International Accounting Standards.
- Perform month-end accounting activities such as Accruals, Prepayments, reconciliations, and journal entries by the 10th of each month.
- Developing, monitoring, and applying tax (related) policies based on sound knowledge of the business combined with in-depth knowledge of tax laws.
- Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies in line with Group Finance Department.
- Ensuring the correctness of relevant bookkeeping and preparing all tax declarations properly on time as per the local Tax regulations.
- Ensure all Tax requirements & filing such as VAT, WHT, CIT, and PAYE all been filed on time and in compliance with the requirements especially the consideration of tax exemptions granted under the treaty signed between Rwanda and Qatar.
- Seeks operational excellence regarding tax compliance to ensure tax legislation and policies are well and efficiently incorporated and proper Tax planning & optimization.
- Management of accounts payable and accounts receivables and making sure a reconciliation of the same is done on monthly basis.
- Being the contact person for the relations with the tax authority and establishing good communication with the tax authority.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for submission to the Group Finance Department in Qatar.
- Management of Fixed asset register with proper tagging in ERP and Physical Assets.
- Preparing cost analyses by interpreting projects\' financial data and information.
- Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review
- Cooperation with external auditors to carry out periodical external audit processes.
- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
