Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Management:

Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely submission of financial reports to the top management and relevant authorities. Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process.

Accounting Operations & Controls:

Oversee daily accounting activities such as ledger entries, reconciliations, and settlements. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated with local and international accounting standards and regulations. Ensure the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Collaborate with the CFO in budgeting and financial forecasting processes. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide feedback to the team members.

Taxation:

Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns. Coordinate with tax consultants and handle tax-related inquiries or disputes.

Continuous Improvement:

Recommend improvements to the accounting processes and systems to optimize efficiency. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in accounting.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the main point of contact for financial and accounting matters with internal departments, external partners, banks, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferable. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification. A minimum of 8 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting or financial management role. Proficiency in accounting software and tools. Strong knowledge of the basalt fiber industry or related sectors is an advantage. Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred.
