The

Chief Accountant

is responsible for overseeing the general accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective management of accounting processes. The Chief Accountant will lead a team of accountants and play a key role in financial decision-making by providing timely and accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements in compliance with local and international accounting standards Develop and implement internal accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for strategic planning and decision-making. Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance performance and accountability. Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and statutory purposes.
