Job Description
Chief Accountant - A Z Care Pharmacy
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and inventory accounting. Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with local laws and pharmaceutical industry standards. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Monitor inventory valuation, expiry tracking, and cost control specific to pharmaceutical products. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities. Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring strong internal controls. Support management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA / ACCA / CMA preferred). 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in pharmacy, healthcare, or FMCG sectors. Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and pharmaceutical regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
