Chief Accountant

is responsible for overseeing all accounting activities of an organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial controls. The role supports management by providing reliable financial insights and maintaining the company's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records Manage general ledger and chart of accounts
Accounting & Compliance

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors Prepare and submit tax filings and statutory reports
Budgeting & Cost Control

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Monitor expenses and analyze variances Implement cost-control measures
Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor accounting staff Assign tasks and review work for accuracy Improve accounting processes and internal controls
Cash & Asset Management

Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities Oversee accounts payable and receivable Ensure proper asset management and depreciation

Skills & Qualifications NeededEssential Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS) Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) Strong Excel and financial analysis skills Knowledge of tax regulations and audit procedures
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is highly preferred 3-5 years of accounting experience, with leadership exposure
