Job Title: Chief Accountant

Location: Qatar

Availability: Immediate Joining Required

Requirement: Valid Qatar ID with Change of Sponsorship (Mandatory)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Accountant to lead and manage our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably within the construction industry, and a strong background in group or consolidated financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements for multiple subsidiaries/entities.

Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and external regulatory requirements.

Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.

Implement and optimize accounting processes and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 preferred).

Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the accounting team.

Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Collaborate with senior management on strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Professional certification (CPA, CA, CMA) is highly preferred.

Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.

Prior experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.

Strong experience in group or consolidated accounting across multiple entities.

Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX, 365, or similar platforms).

In-depth knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.

Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.

High level of analytical skills and attention to detail.
