About the job Chief Accountant cum Compliances officer

Our client is an automotive solution provider, looking to hire a Chief Accountant who will be responsible manage the day-to-day accounting of the company including treasury, vat process, receivables, payables, cash management, and credit & general insurance. provide accurate and timely reports/forecasts to head office in Europe. in charge of the application and strict follow-up of compliance rules of the group and the government of UAE. handles statutory audits. Fluency in English is desirable; French is a plus.

Main tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
  • preparing weekly & monthly accurate financial reports and completeness of accounts, reconciling balances and introducing info in EV and Cartesis.
  • fulfill all vat obligations such as vat declarations and claiming vat reimbursement.
  • introducing credit line requests, challenging quotations, and obtaining info.
  • follow up on client credit and coverage.
  • preparation of budget reports/details, stock reports, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • in charge of the company\'s strict compliance with both the group & the UAE government.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
  • Checking and printing Bank account statements on a daily basis.
  • Checking all the funds that are received from the clients and sending emails to all the sales staff/management.
  • Preparing the daily treasury position and sending the report to the finance/management.
  • Making sure enough funds are available at all times, forecasting the expected payments to be done.
  • Making all the payments via bank transfer for the purchase of Vehicles/Parts/Generators or any other items if so required by the company.
  • Making Monthly payments to the vendors with whom a credit limit is established.
  • Preparing Monthly Bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing salaries file via WPS in Mashreq Bank Portal
  • Booking all purchase invoices in Navision
  • Making Payments by cheque whenever required
  • Keeping custody of Cash (AED/USD) and controlling via payments and receipts (parallel excel sheet for cash control), booking all the cash entries in the Navision.
  • Matching of accounts 499000/580300/580050, personal current accounts of employees.
  • Approving the out forms for release of the vehicles after ensuring that the funds are reported in the respective files and compliance check is done
  • Ensuring that all the out forms approved for the release of the vehicles have been properly invoiced by the operations department
  • Preparing the Multi-currency Sales reporting of Vehicles, parts, and Grupel, verifying that all the margins are properly reported in the files, and controlling the stock.
  • Sending weekly reporting with closing stock to the H.O and MD
  • Securing Euro transactions by necessary conversion of currency.
  • Monthly physic stock count with yard coordinator
  • End of every month-end closing of books, passing all closing entries, preparing the Profit and Loss account for the month, and submitting it to the H.O. for verification.
  • Verifying the cost of goods sold and Margin with reporting files for Vehicles/ PDR / Generators
  • Making all related entries for keeping books and records of LLC on a different software (Tally) every month, generating the system profit and loss after passing all the closing entries.
  • Mid & Year End closing of Books of Accounts of FZE and LLC. Assisting the Auditors in the process of Auditing and preparing all the audit-related worksheets for Audit purposes as per the Audit requirements.
  • Mid & Year Stock count with the Auditors and helping in sorting out the discrepancies that arise in the process of physical verification of stocks
  • SGS follow up (Responsible for custody and follow up of Security cheques from the clients).
  • Responsible for analyzing the Interco Transactions & reconciliation.
  • Preparing B/S and PNL every month and send it to H.O
  • Every month end filling data in EV and Cartesis.
  • Performing Due diligence for all third parties related to Autoredo (Customers, Suppliers, Brokers, etc.) via World check portal. Contacting Compliance officer in case of any confusion.
  • VAT, return filing quarterly and claiming refunds
  • Responsible for all General insurances (Workmens compensations, public liability, property all risk Money policy +Marine policy+ Motor fleet policy) timely renewal with competitive vendors and issuing Certificates for Marine policy via online portal, also taking care of damage claims.
  • Responsible for client credit insurance (COFACE), seeking coverage of new clients via online portal
  • Responsible for compliance related queries raised from the Banks.
  • Preparing Budget and forecasting and populating the data on EV portal and addressing the queries raised by H.O.
  • Keeping track of Assets of the company with necessary approvals and proper depreciation.
  • Highlighting the financial Risks in advance to the concerned Manager.
  • Managing the Export Letter of credit transactions with the clients and Operations Department and relevant banks.
  • Responsible for import Letter of credits, Bank Guarantees etc.
  • Other than closing, sending 3rd party debtors intercompany debtors ageing, Treasury Forecast and any other report to the H.O
Other considerations:
  • Preferably French-speaking
  • knowledgeably in Navision/ERP/SAPsoftware.
  • proficient in accounting & tax matters.
  • knowledgeable in UAE government compliance rules & policies.
