CMETS Group is a growing company based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in turnkey electrical projects, oil field material supply, and control panel manufacturing for the oilfield and EPC sector.

With strong credibility in the market and multiple business units, we are expanding our finance team to strengthen controls, compliance, and reporting.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the company's financial operations, ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax regulations, manage reporting, and support business growth with accurate financial insights.

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting team and report directly to the Finance & Admin Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily accounting operations and month-end/year-end closing.

Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and management reports.

Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT requirements.

Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions including cash flow planning, bank facilities, and liquidity management.

_

Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and controls across warehouses and projects.

_

_

Monitor working capital and optimize funding for operations.

_

_

Implement and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.

_

_

Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.

_

Lead, guide, and train the accounting team.

Qualifications & Skills:

_

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, and related field (CMA/CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).

Minimum 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or chief accountant role in the UAE.

_

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax.

_

_

Experience in project-based accounting and manufacturing is an advantage.

_

_

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (knowledge of SAP ERP is a plus).

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
