We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, maintaining efficiency and quality standards
Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and chef's instructions
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies for your section
Contribute to menu planning and cost control efforts
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service
Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Creativity and innovation in dish preparation and presentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform kitchen duties for extended periods
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Passion for food and commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction
Additional Information
Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
* Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
