Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Italian and American dishes such as pasta, risotto, pizza, steaks, burgers, and other regional specialties.
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and daily operations.
Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in compliance with
HACCP guidelines
.
Supervise and train
Commis Chefs
and kitchen assistants within the section.
Monitor stock levels, request supplies, and minimize food waste through effective planning.
Adapt recipes to accommodate customer preferences and dietary requirements.
Work efficiently under pressure during peak service hours while maintaining consistency.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a
CDP / Demi Chef
specializing in
Italian cuisine
(minimum 2-3 years).
Strong knowledge of
Italian and American culinary techniques and ingredients
.
Culinary diploma or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment with strong attention to detail.
Good communication and leadership skills to guide junior team members.
Sound knowledge of
food safety and hygiene
practices.
