- To ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to, such as food hygiene policies.
- To be flexible and willing to help the culinary units at busy times if required.
- Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to organizational standards in portioning, and cooking standards.
- Strong focus on quality assurance and inspection of food coming out of the production unit.
- In the absence of Head Chef communicate any operational concerns to parties.
- Follow proper standards for requisition of products from storage areas, product storage and rotation procedures, par levels, standard recipes, and waste control procedures.
- Daily spot check on procedures as well as tasting of products throughout each shift to ensure consistency.
- Clean and monitor walk areas equipment and utensils
- To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
