in their Food Production Unit located at DIP, Dubai
Job Purpose:
Carry out the requests of the Head Chef/Executive Chef while supervising the smooth running of the entire kitchen operation to Grandiose Standard Prepare desired food items in the designated area, meet the deadlines, control the junior chef and supporting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all stocks are adequate for the needs of the business at all times.
Ensure all orders are placed at the required time.
Maintain a financial awareness of changing food costs.
Check the physical condition of equipment, ensuring adequate operating stock levels are maintained.
Liaise with stewarding department to carry out quarterly inventories of all equipment's.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in the market and make suggestions for implementation.
Maintain the required level of staff service through breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ensure daily procedures are carried out to the correct standard.
Handle staff queries and complaints with tact. Inform the Head Chef/Executive Chef about complaints or queries.
Ensure all employees work within the departmental Rules & Regulations.
Ensure effective two-way communication within the department.
Contributes to the achievement of budget profit.
Carry out fire, safety and evacuation procedures as required by the Grandiose Fire policy.
Complies with Grandiose safety and hygiene policy.
Comply with Grandiose standards in relation to personal hygiene and presentation.
Ensure all employees attend statutory training, i.e. fire, health & safety and basic food hygiene.
Train all commis in the skill of working hygienically and efficiently.
Ensure all orders are prepared to the correct standard.
Participate in the quality initiatives program of the organization.
Performs other reasonable duties assigned by your superiors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma in Food & Beverage
5 to 7 years in a similar field
Minimum 5 years as a cook in any four or five-star hotel or catering company
Ability to understand and develop recipe, ability to handle pressure. Knowledge of HASSP
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
