As a key member of our bakery department, you will lead the production of high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts for our esteemed guests, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Oversee daily bakery operations and food production, ensuring efficiency and quality
Create and prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, following established recipes and standards
Develop and implement new bakery items, showcasing creativity and innovation
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and timely food service
Participate in menu planning, cost control, and inventory management
Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff
Maintain quality control checks and participate in food tasting panels
Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and banquets
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Stay updated on current baking trends and techniques, incorporating them into the menu when appropriate
Manage and organize the bakery section, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment maintenance
Qualifications
Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar bakery role, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
Proven expertise in various bakery techniques and pastry making
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Creativity and passion for developing innovative bakery items
Proficiency in using bakery equipment and tools
Basic computer skills for inventory management and recipe documentation
Menu planning and cost control abilities
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergen management
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
Familiarity with local and international baking techniques and trends
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of UAE food regulations and standards (preferred)
