Job Description
We are looking for a CDP and a DCDP to join our fast-growing specialized bakery team in Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE to support our retail, dine-in, catering and wholesale operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in bakery. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. Please indicate salary requirements and your preferred start date in your submissions. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supervise and control the work of the kitchen personnel in Bakery section and assist with overseeing the daily operation of the kitchen
- Ensure that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality
- Take charge of daily food preparation and duties assigned by Head Chef to meet the high standards that are defined
- Ensure food portioning, serving, requisitions, costs, receiving, storage and sanitation are properly controlled
- Have full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.
- Monitor and communicate all production issues including equipment malfunction, to Head Chef on a daily basis
- Have knowledge of food costs control in a wholesale and retail environment
- Supervision, guidance and coaching of junior team members including DCDP
- Maintaining consistent communication and a positive relationship with the team
- Carry out any other duties as required by senior kitchen team and management.
- Diploma / Certification in Culinary or equivalent or experience in lieu
- 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a CDP or 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a DCDP at a bakery or a in luxury hotel as a CDP/DCDP in the Bakery section
- Experience specifically with Sourdough breads and Viennoiserie
- Passionate about the art of baking and ability to bring ideas and handle issues
- Desire to learn, contribute and grow with the brand
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and strong leadership skills. This position will require daily communication and hand off to the next shift for smooth operation and to meet the brand\xe2\x80\x99s high-quality standards.
- Flexible to work in different shifts (Early morning, daytime or night shift)
- CDP: 2 years (Preferred)
- Day Shift (Preferred)
