Job Description

Job Summary:
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., sauces, grill, pastry) and ensuring high-quality food preparation while maintaining kitchen efficiency, hygiene, and safety standards. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation & Cooking:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
  • Oversee a specific section (e.g., meats, fish, sauces, desserts) and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Monitor food stock, assist with inventory, and minimize waste.
2. Kitchen Operations:
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared on time and meet quality standards.
  • Assist in developing new menu items and specials.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
3. Team Supervision:
  • Train and guide Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs in your section.
  • Collaborate with other Chefs de Partie and kitchen staff for smooth service.
4. Hygiene & Safety:
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
