Position Overview
Atlantis The Palm is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary operations at Saffron, one of the resort's signature dining destinations. The role requires strong leadership, creativity, and precision to manage all aspects of the kitchen-ensuring the delivery of world-class cuisine and maintaining the highest levels of hygiene, quality, and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations for Saffron, ensuring smooth workflow, quality control, and service excellence.
  • Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team to achieve consistently high performance.
  • Maintain proper hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage food cost, inventory, and purchasing in alignment with the resort's financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management to design, test, and implement new menus.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and tools are well-maintained and in optimal working condition.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support special events, banquets, and promotions.
  • Monitor guest feedback and adapt operations to enhance culinary offerings and service delivery.
  • Drive team motivation, maintain morale, and cultivate a positive kitchen culture that aligns with Atlantis standards.
Ideal Profile
  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Catering Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5-star international hotel or resort, with at least 2 years in a Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef role.
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine and buffet operations, particularly large-scale and themed dining.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced culinary environment.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
