Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare, review, and present financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Auditing:
Conduct internal and external audits to ensure financial compliance and identify potential risks.
Taxation:
Handle direct and indirect tax planning, filing, and compliance (e.g., GST, Income Tax). Liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including filing of statutory returns.
Financial Analysis:
Perform cost analysis, profitability reviews, and recommend cost control strategies.
Advisory Services:
Provide financial advice to management on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and capital structuring.
Account Reconciliation:
Manage reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and other key accounts.
