Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified

Chartered Accountant

with

at least 5 years of proven experience in the UAE

, specifically in

construction, real estate development, and investment accounting

. The ideal candidate must have deep knowledge of UAE financial laws,

VAT compliance

,

corporate tax

, and

IFRS

, with hands-on experience in project-based accounting, asset management, and investment portfolio reporting.

Key Responsibilities:Construction & Real Estate Accounting:

Manage project-based accounting for construction contracts (cost tracking, revenue recognition, billing). Maintain accurate records of real estate project costs, receivables, and payables. Prepare feasibility reports, cash flow forecasts, and profitability analysis. Monitor project budgets and ensure cost controls are in place. Oversee real estate asset accounting including leasing, depreciation, and revaluation.

Investment & Portfolio Accounting:

Maintain accounting records for investment portfolios (equities, real estate, private equity, etc.). Track returns, revaluation, dividends, and interest income. Perform financial analysis and reporting for investment activities. Liaise with investment consultants and financial institutions on portfolio performance.

General Responsibilities:

Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT laws and timely filing with the FTA. Implement corporate tax structures and reporting per UAE Federal Tax Authority guidelines. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS. Coordinate external audits and support management with audit requirements. Provide financial insights and risk assessments for strategic decision-making. Supervise accounting staff and improve accounting processes and controls. Liaise with banks for project financing, letters of credit, and cash flow management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Chartered Accountant - Qualified.

Minimum 5 years of UAE experience

in

Construction, Real estate, and Investment sectors

. Strong knowledge of

UAE VAT

,

Corporate Tax

, and

IFRS

. Experience with project accounting, cost tracking, and WIP reporting. Familiarity with real estate development cycles and investment fund accounting. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems, Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Zoho). Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with project financing and dealing with local banks. Knowledge of UAE labor law Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
