Key Accountabilities: * Generate work permits and routinely conduct Hazard Recognition & Toolbox Talks.

Apply fabrication knowledge and skills in the manufacture and installation
Review Job cards and fabrication work packs.
Monitor the use of manufacturing equipment and consumable materials. \xe2\x80\xa2
Monitor the application of Company Weld Procedure Specifications.
Responsible when necessary for the compilation of work permits including associated supporting documentation and if required attendance to team risk
Responsible for ensuring personnel within their control work safely and in accordance with client permit to work.
Responsible for review of plan and work packs to ensure materials, plant, and consumable requirements are available for the execution of future activities.
Responsible for ensuring the quality of all work performed under his control is to an acceptable standard.
Responsible for inspection and checking of works for completeness
Responsible for providing input to the compilation of the daily report (personnel on site, daily progress, planned work for the following day).
Should perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

Qualifications: High school degree/ Diploma in ITI
Experience: 5+ years in the field of Structural steel fabrication.
Must be able to read and fully understand fabrication drawings
solid experience of working as a Chargehand within the Welding/Fabrication industry
Experience of managing the workers and schedules
