The Position

As a Roche Diagnostics Middle East Chapter Lead (Access, Policy, Medical Affairs and Strategic Consultancy) you will:

-Drive the vision of double patient access and create metrics to measure the progress to Roche 10y ambition in the Middle East Sub Region.

-Enable capabilities development in Access & Policy, Medical Affairs and Strategic Consultancy to support an integrated strategy.

-Leverage knowledge, foresee new trends and developments in clinical practice and translate these medical insights to educate healthcare professionals on the medical value of diagnostics innovations.

-Lead public policy strategy, including working with cross-functional teams to support Middle East, EMEA-LATAM and global objectives and drive policy, access and medical outcomes.
-Lead innovative strategies to engage healthcare decision makers, including digital ones.

-Enable and coach Access, Policy, Medical Affairs and Strategic Consultancy Chapter members on access and policy strategies to support appropriate alignment with Global and Emea Latam product strategies, plans, objectives and goals

Main Accountabilities

-Enable the Chapter members to collaborate and co-create access, policy and medical strategies around key priorities within Diagnostics Division and OneRoche projects.

-Understand the access barriers and policy landscape, paving the path of access & adoption, to raising the access level to diagnostics solutions in the Middle East countries.

-Lead the Chapter to balance broad patient access with sustainable reimbursement and funding across prioritized markets.

-Map, engage with and manage stakeholders internally and externally to shape the policy/access environment for our diagnostic solutions and drive and implement Medical strategies.

Additional Responsabilities:

-Act as a key point of contact & interface to Pharma and Diagnostics / Diabetes Care affiliates to support implementation of joint access programs (incl. strategy plan development, stakeholder mapping, policy shaping and reimbursement activities)

-Enable the Chapter members to Influence adoption/ implementation of local or international standards, guidelines and best practices by active participation as members of various expert groups, advisory boards and pathology societies

-Manage, foster and invest in relationships with key opinion leaders in the EMEA - LATAM region and provide liaison between the various internal and external scientific stakeholders to co- create and support the interpretation of medical content that backs our business strategy

-Catalyse the Chapter team to liaise with the senior level of scientific institutions and academies as well as International Public-Private Health Organizations in order to capture the expectations, programs and strategies of said organizations and translate them into specific operational plans and programs.

-Enable the team to co-create and provide active support and expertise for medical activities in Roche ME affiliates adapted to the specific challenges and circumstances for Middle East Sub Region.

-Help Middle East and affiliates marketing and sales teams connect marketing plans into the context of technical, scientific and medical value strategy.

-Drive awareness and execution of medical compliance in the region, including but not limited to DIA symphony and all related standards.

-Enable the Chapter to coordinate and collaborate with patient advocacy organisations (PAGs).

-Foster partnerships/relationships with national/regional and international NGOs, forming meaningful partnerships that generate substantial support with shared value.

-Assess risk appropriately when business decisions are made by enabling informed decision making, demonstrate particular consideration for Roche\xe2\x80\x99s reputation and interest, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to directive, policies and SOPs and apply sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices.

-Conduct all the above in an ethical way and in line with the Roche Code of conduct, internal directives, SOPs and policies, and the applicable laws in the region, in close collaboration with the Legal and Compliance team.

Experience and Qualification

-Bachelor\'s Degree required (Business, or Science discipline is a plus); MBA or other related graduate-level degree is a plus.

-Experience in access combined with, planning, development, business development in biopharma and / or diagnostics industry with an understanding of Diagnostics Business Model.

-Ability to navigate the political, legislative and regulatory environment across the region.
-Ability to understand and assess the likely implications of political, policy and regulatory matters on Roche\xe2\x80\x99s business.

-Desirable experience on leading the development and execution of Healthcare impact plans or similar integrated plans cross enterprise organizations.

-Financial acumen and analytical skills capable of effective and efficient use of insights and other quantitative and qualitative data

-Interpersonal & partnering skills: has proven abilities to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional, often virtual and matrix teams. Openness to new (other people\'s) ideas and desire to co-develop them together with the team.

-Communication skills to convey complex ideas and alternatives to the Ecosystem Stakeholders and other involved parties

-Ability to understand complex scientific issues and effectively translating these into effective access, medical and business strategies

-Desirable International experience with working experience in different healthcare ecosystems and knowledge of Agile methodologies/ways-of-working

-Fluent in English. Arab language desired
