Our client, an international mining house with operating mines and projects in Africa, is in need a CFO to lead their Africa team, with initial extensive travel to their operations in Africa, following which relocation to the UAE will be required.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial strategy and performance across the Africa subsidiaries.

• Oversee full financial reporting, budgeting, and IFRS compliance.

• Drive project finance and capital structure negotiations.

• Manage risk, controls, ERP systems, and regulatory compliance.

• Implementation of new ERP system.

• Collaborate with executive teams across the group and subsidiaries.

• Provide leadership to finance teams and ensure operational excellence.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics from an accredited university.

• MBA or similar relevant advanced degree advantageous.

• Professional designation / affiliation required (CA, CPA, ACCA or similar).

• Minimum of 15 years' financial experience in the mining industry with at least 10 in a senior leadership role.

• Experience overseeing financial activities of Africa based operations and projects.

• Ability to motivate and lead high caliber teams with diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Experienced in the implementation of ERP and financial accounting systems.

• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.

• Computer literate in various financial management systems.

• Able to travel extensively and be on site in Africa for multiple weeks at a time.

• Relocation to the UAE will be required mid to long term.
