Required Medical Corder for a medical center in Abu Dhabi Shakhbout City. Location: Abu Dhabi Candidate should have: Certification in Medical Coding 1 year experience in UAE as a medical coder and insurance claims and submission Details:
- Reviews and verifies documentation supports diagnoses, procedures and treatment results before submission.
- Identifies diagnostic and procedural information.
- Audits clinical documentation and coded data to validate documentation supports services rendered for reimbursement and reporting purposes.
- Assigns codes for reimbursements, research and compliance with regulatory requirements utilizing guidelines.
- Follows coding conventions. Serves as coding consultant to care providers.
- Identifies discrepancies, potential quality of care, and billing issues.
- Researches, analyzes, recommends, and facilitates plan of action to correct discrepancies and prevent future coding errors.
- Identifies reportable elements, complications, and other procedures.
- Serves as resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff.
- Assists Manager or supervisor in orienting, training, and mentoring staff.
- Provides ongoing training to staff as needed.
- Handles special projects as requested.
- Analyzes data needs for reimbursement.
- Analyzes medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies.
- Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies
- Receiving and reviewing patients\xe2\x80\x99 charts and documents for verification and accuracy
- Following up and clarifying any information that is not clear to other staff members
- Collecting information made by the Physician from different sources to prepare monthly reports
- Implementing strategic procedures and choosing strategies and evaluation methods that provide correct results
- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
