We have requirement of Ceramic Technician for our client company located at Italy.

Company: It is years that ceramic decoration is dominated by digital technology. Digital inks consist of a liquid which keeps ceramic pigments, ground below 1 micron, in suspension. These inks are applied with digital printers. The decoration is protected with a layer of enamel applied on top. In practice, a layer of glass is formed which allows the decoration to be seen. In reality, the decoration is 1-2 microns thick and therefore not very suitable for floors that require strong resistance to wear. Our company has developed completely liquid digital colors that are applied on a primer, also developed by us directly at the customers\' premises, which contains additives to increase the color tone and have a strong resistance to abrasion. The result is a decorated layer with a thickness of 200-300 microns which resists PEI at over 500,000 rpm without problems, normally the pigments at 50,000 rpm already lose their decoration.

Position: Ceramic Technician

Location: RAS Al-KHAIMA (UAE)

Qualification: Any Graduate, preferably diploma/degree in Ceramic

Experience: 5-10 Years in Ceramic Tiles R & D, Production, Quality Management, Process Management

Work Timing: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM ( Mon to Sat)

Travel Requirement: UAE, Bangladesh, Russia, Italy

Salary & Other Bebefits: - 1500-1700 USD/month
The base will be in Ras al Khaimah, apartment with 3-4 bed rooms, every room with private bath, living room and kitchen, food and one car for all technicians. One flight(to & fro) a year to India for one month paid holiday.

Job Role:

• The person(s) we are looking for should have, in order of importance, knowledge of primer preparation and handling; knowledge of digital printers, knowledge of graphic file management software.
• The knowledge of correct English is absolutely important for communicating with colleagues and customers
• Organization and management of industrial tests, productivity monitoring, analysis and resolution of application problems, production implementation

Description of the three areas:

Primer

• Knowledge of raw materials (sodium and potassium feldspars, kaolins, quartz, fluxes, wollastonite, more generally what is used to formulate body powder for porcelain stoneware)
• knowledge of commercial products used in ceramic bodies (fluidifiers such as STPP, glues such as CMC, etc.)
• Knowledge of laboratory equipments machinery to develop body powdwers and primers (jars equipments, slides to apply slips on supports for quick screening)
• Knowledge of laboratory equipments to determine technical parameters of bodies and primers (glossmeter, determination of cleanability, resistance to abrasion)
• Procedures, characteristics, defects and processing treatments after firing such as lapping, satin finishing, etc.
• Experience in moving from laboratory tests to the production line, knowledge of the influence of milling on the characteristics of the bodies and primers.
• Knowledge of primer industrial application methods on substrates (bell, VELA, airless), possible defects and how to solve them
• General knowledge of the production cycles of a ceramic production line
• Knowledge of analogically applicable ceramic effects

Digital printers

• possible knowledge of Creadigit, Kerajet, Projecta, INTESA
• possible knowledge of the main settings (height, vacuum, tape speed, how to transfer graphic files, how to load ink, etc.)
• possible knowledge of the characteristics of digital printheads, possibly Starfire SG1024, Xaar

Digital printing methods and software

• Knowledge of the fundamental principles of color management
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Excel, GOOGLE software. In particular for Photoshop knowledge of how to adjust tones and color curves

We require Indian Person from Ceramic Industry who is ready to work from RAS Al-KHAIMA (UAE) to handle technical/production/quality related client problems in areas of UAE, Russia & Bangladesh & ready to go for training at Italy.

Candidate will get one month paid leaves along with two way flight tickets to india for each 11 months of working. Company will provide accomodation, food & all travel expenses.
