The Company

The Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Real Estate & Infrastructure (REI) Companies toward achievement of a Board-approved vision by developing and implementing a business strategy that fully leverages the organization\\\'s capabilities and by creating conditions in which employees can contribute to the full extent of their potential. The job will entail identifying REI Companies investment opportunities, drive their engagement with the group, primarily via acquisitions and partnerships, manage their integration in the group and provide on-going strategic and management oversight so they meet investment expectations.
Accountability Area Corporate Strategy Formation
  • Lead the development and implementation of corporate strategy for the companies under management, ensuring appropriate integration across local operations and key functions, and creating alignment with regulatory requirements and external stakeholder needs (including parent organization where present).
Strategic Planning
  • Integrate strategic plans into a coherent and aligned strategy, either for a core strategic business or function within the overall global enterprise or for a large organization with some diversity and internationality.
Business Planning
  • Direct the development of annual and longer-term business plans for a strategic global function Holding Vertical, ensuring alignment with the organization\\\'s strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. global revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)); set resource budgets (financial and headcount); and review and approve business cases for programs that have a strategic global business impact.
Board Relationship
  • Help ensure the organization has effective governance by developing and improving relationships with Board members and by identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges in the business and preparing them for discussion.
Leadership and Direction
  • Set and communicate mission, vision and values and the strategy for delivering these within the companies under management; inspire a diverse global workforce to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization\\\'s business goals.
Performance Management
  • Set, and lead the delivery of, business performance objectives within the companies under management; hold direct reports accountable for achievement of annual and longer-term business objectives; take corrective action where necessary to ensure achievement of overall business goals, balancing the need to deliver short term business objectives with the longer-term delivery of stakeholder value.
Corporate Representation
  • Represent the organization or institution in a variety of industry, institutional, and/or professional forums, boards, and committees in order to promote the company or institution brand or efforts. Act as a strategic figurehead, representing the organization in external relations with investors, clients, the public and others.
Organizational Capability Building
  • Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a complex global organization. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Create a business culture that places value on the development of personal capabilities and fulfillment of potential.
Financial Management and Control
  • Ensure the financial integrity and wellbeing of the companies under management by taking overall responsibility for financial governance.
Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting
  • Develop and maintain personal relationships with corporate senior executives of strategic global potential accounts to facilitate business acquisition and retention.
Organization Structure
  • Define the macro structure of the sub-holding under management, the responsibilities of the most senior roles, and the principles that guide the detailed design, to enable the achievement of the organization\\\'s mission and business objectives.
Brand Strategy and Effectiveness
  • Take overall responsibility for brand equity and reputational safeguard.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to C-suite level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager

The Person

Key Requirements:
  • Master\\\'s Degree or Equivalent Level from an accredited institution.
  • 20 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in management positions with
  • 10 years in CEO positions of REI companies
  • 5-10 years in GCC countries.
  • Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions. directing substantial resources over long time frames
  • Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Familiarity with relevant software.
