Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery items according to recipes and standards.
Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry and bakery products.
Assist the
Sous Chef
and
Head Chef
in menu planning, recipe development, and new dessert creation.
Maintain proper storage and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Supervise and train
Commis Pastry/Bakery
staff within the section.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in compliance with
HACCP
standards.
Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and consistency to ensure perfect results.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining precision and quality.
Requirements:
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
as a
Pastry/Bakery CDP
in a fine-dining restaurant, hotel, or bakery.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dough preparation, baking, and dessert plating.
Culinary or Pastry diploma/certification preferred.
Creativity and innovation in dessert design and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
