Reporting the Group CDO, our client is seeking a CDO that will be responsible leading all strategic data initiatives in the healthcare insurance division.

THE POSITION: CDO Healthcare Insurance

Due to growth the position of a divisional CDO that has been created to directly support the Group CDO in achieving the next stage of their data strategy and development and enable the group global strategy.

Specific Objectives for the role

• Creation of Data Governance; including the implementation of the correct processes to support Data benefits to ensure trustworthiness of data across all applications.
• Understanding all aspects of Data Strategy, Data Governance and Data Management and serve as a thought leader for the advancement of use cases to improve the bottom line of the group.
• Creating the data road map for the groups health insurance division
• Prepare and present status updates; issues, challenges risks, and solutions to Data Strategy & Governance Steering Committee, relevant stakeholders and partners in business and technology teams in a succinct manner to drive decision-making and actions.
• Lead meetings and working group sessions that lead to innovative new data solutions involving data consumers, business lines, and technology teams.
• Promote the value of data and drive culture in the organization implement data use cases.
• Maintaining deep knowledge across all related processes, involved systems, and data flows applicable in the division and integrated within the group.
• Staying abreast of all regulatory requirements pertaining to data in the region and in other geographies beyond the UAE.
• Working closely with data users to capture and cultivate their data needs.
• Ensuring the data is managed according to the data privacy and protection regulations and ensuring rules governing access to and use of the data are established and enforced.
• Taking strategic decisions on technology enablers to support data initiatives and solutions.
• Bring medical knowledge and industry knowledge in the division to support new data initiatives and solutions.
• Monitor future trends in the industry and be a first mover on new potentials within the division and that will complement the group,

Team Management

• Hiring team members that are rockstars in the target positions and mentoring and coaching them to achieve excellence.
• Define performance goals for the team that complement the group objectives and ensure that the goals are achieved.
• Identify the training and development needs and ensure training is completed to support individual development.
