Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

CD Machine Operator

at Diamond Printing Press Company to join our team in Ajman. The successful candidate is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting die-cutting machines. The operator ensures the machine runs smoothly, the quality of the finished product meets industry standards, and production goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Adjusting:

Monitor machine performance during production to ensure consistent product quality and prevent defects. Make real-time adjustments to the machine to correct issues like misalignment, paper jams, or inconsistent cuts.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform basic preventative maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine components, checking for wear and tear, and ensuring that the machine is in good working condition. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues, either independently or by working with the maintenance team. Ensure that die-cuts and embossing plates are installed correctly and maintained properly.

Quality Control:

Conduct regular quality checks throughout the run to ensure product specifications (dimensions, alignment, etc.) are met. Document and report any quality or production issues to supervisors.

Production Documentation:

Complete production logs, noting machine settings, material used, and any downtime. Work with supervisors and managers to track production rates and adjust workflow to meet deadlines.

Teamwork and Communication:

Collaborate with other team members, including press operators, maintenance technicians, and quality control personnel, to ensure smooth production. Communicate effectively with supervisors to report any operational challenges or delays in production.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience

: Prior experience in the printing or die-cutting industry, especially with Heidelberg or other high-end printing machinery.

Technical Proficiency

: Strong understanding of how die-cutting and embossing machines operate, including manual and automatic adjustments.

Attention to Detail

: High level of precision in machine setup and operation to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality.

Problem-Solving

: Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions and quickly identify solutions to keep production on track.
