The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems, access control, and other electronic security equipment. The technician ensures all systems operate efficiently, securely, and in compliance with company and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, IP cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on surveillance systems.
Run cables, terminate network connections, and mount cameras or related hardware.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of CCTV and security systems.
Assist in system upgrades, integration, and network connectivity.
Ensure proper recording, playback, and storage of CCTV footage.
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and inventory of materials.
Coordinate with IT and security teams for system configurations and user access.
Respond promptly to service calls and emergency maintenance requests.
Follow all safety and company policies during installations and site work.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma or certification in Electronics, Electrical, or IT-related field.
Proven experience in CCTV installation and maintenance (Analog & IP systems).
Strong understanding of networking, cabling, and system integration.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Good communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours when required.
