Job Description

A CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating surveillance equipment to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The operator detects and reports suspicious activities, records evidence, and supports security teams in responding to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor live CCTV footage and detect unusual or suspicious behavior. Operate and control surveillance systems, including cameras, recording devices, and alarm systems. Maintain detailed incident logs and prepare daily reports. Respond promptly to security alerts and inform relevant authorities or security staff. Assist in evidence gathering for investigations (video recordings, screenshots, reports). Ensure CCTV equipment is functioning correctly; report faults or maintenance needs. Follow company security protocols and comply with local laws/regulations. Coordinate with security guards, police, or emergency services when required. Maintain confidentiality of all surveillance data and footage.

Skills & Competencies

Strong attention to detail and high levels of concentration. Good observation and quick decision-making abilities. Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control, and security monitoring software. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies. Good communication skills (both verbal and written). Basic technical knowledge of camera and recording equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (higher education is a plus). Prior experience in security or surveillance is preferred. Training and certification in CCTV operations (

SIRA

license in Dubai/UAE) may be required. Basic computer literacy.

Working Conditions

Shift-based work (day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays). Long hours of sitting and monitoring screens. Work closely with security teams and management.
