Position Overview
The Category Manager role at Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle in Dubai is responsible for driving commercial performance across wholesale partners and regional markets through effective category planning, forecasting, and trading. This role analyzes sales, margins, and inventory performance while working closely with Buying, Commercial, Finance, Logistics, and retail partners to maximize profitability, optimize assortments, and ensure efficient delivery, allocation, and replenishment in line with agreed wholesale plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts for wholesale partners by analyzing sales trends, order patterns, and market performance
• Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance by account, identifying risks and opportunities to improve sell-through and reduce excess inventory
• Coordinate closely with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and accurate fulfillment of wholesale orders
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly WSSI reports covering sales, stock, and intake for wholesale accounts
• Support planning and execution of end-of-season stock clearance activities in line with margin targets and partner commitments
• Partner with finance teams to validate margins and assess the impact of discounts, markdowns, and promotions on trade profitability
• Manage deliveries, allocations, and replenishment to ensure optimal stock availability across markets
• Build and maintain strong interdepartmental collaboration to enable effective information sharing and follow-up actions
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with wholesale partners to understand demand drivers, sales trends, and product preferences

Ideal Profile

• Graduate degree in business, finance, or a related field
• Two to four years of experience as a Category Manager or Distribution Planner
• Mandatory experience in a retail environment
• Prior experience within beauty and skincare retail is required
• Mandatory experience in wholesale and distribution operations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial and inventory data
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
