Category Buyer - Switches & Sockets
Understanding the market and analyze trends to be able identify the company's buying needs
Build solid relationships with the Supplier partners
Being responsible for handling the commercial negotiations.
Regularly monitor product prices, currency fluctuations and other supplier input costs which may affect product prices
Manage and maintain inventory (from shipping to receiving) and encourage stock contingency planning wherever possible
Process standard and project specific purchase orders, negotiating preferential terms
Monitor the stock quality in conjunction with the Quality Assurance team and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
Participate in the research, selection, and assessment of potential suppliers. Lead the engagement, on-boarding, and management of suppliers from a Buying perspective.
Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share
Prepare sales reports and forecasts to track progress and identify areas for improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
Maintain accurate records of all sales and inventory transactions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
Buying Experience in building materials (Switches & Sockets) and OEM brand is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing the Switches & Sockets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
