Job Description

The Cashier/Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Order Taking

Greet customers promptly and warmly as they enter the restaurant. Present menus and answer questions regarding food and beverage items. Take accurate orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen. Provide recommendations and upsell items when appropriate. Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner. Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction.

Cashiering & Payment Processing

Operate the POS system efficiently and accurately. Process cash, card, and digital payments according to company procedures. Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges when required. Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.

Restaurant Maintenance

Keep the dining area clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Set up tables with appropriate dining ware. Clear tables and assist in cleaning tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service. Communicate customer requests or concerns promptly to management. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience as a cashier, waiter, or in customer service . Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and friendly attitude. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to move quickly during peak service hours.
