Job Description

Candidate should have good experience as Cashier cum Merchandiser with below areas Product related Manage the speedy turnaround time of each customer at the till Ensure smooth running of all the machines and ample supply of bags during peak hours Provide exceptional customer service standards at all times of the day, by greeting, smiling and acknowledging customers Knowledge and awareness of special events, being promoted in the store (e.g. 20%, 15%, promotions and any special events Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager Participation in team meetings Frequently use the store intercoms to make announcements and to contact various departments Assist with office clerk duties in the Customer Service Counter Conduct weekly price changes, including changing shelf signs and tags, promotional signs Assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas Monitor and reduce wastage of plastic bags and initiate recycling initiatives to customer Entice new customers to become part of the loyalty program. Clear back areas to prepare for the delivery of new stock before ordering new stocks. Place orders for stock MRQ Check stock received vs MRQ and LTO Report damages, shortages, excess on received stock by e mail to shop manager and supply chain manager When receiving stock that is short dated or expired stock, report immediately by email to the shop manager and supply chain Manager. Clean shelves before restocking Load stock with longer shelf life at back of shelve and move old stock to front ( FIFO) Check that each item has a price tag on shelve Place out of stock label where necessary Stock shelves according to the planogram (Correct height and width) Check if there is any relevant signage for your allocated area and put them up neatly Check for special displays and gondolas and display as provided diagram Ensure at all times that expired merchandise and poor quality items are removed. Always ensure that eye level stock is full. Check that all back up stock is represented on the sales floor. Investigate out of stocks and provide daily feedback to the head merchandiser or store Manager. Others: Assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas Assist with replenishing any merchandise at till points when needed Place reusable boxes at cash tills Place unusable boxes to recycle paper section, plastic wrapping to recycle plastic section etc. Check and ensure that the lighting in the aisles of your allocated sections are working, report/replace faulty bulbs Report suspicious customers to shop manager and security Customer related functions: Assist customer by rendering the exact change Manage the round off amounts Escalate customer complain to store manager Familiarise yourself with shop products and their locations in order to assist customers in locating items Provide updates on customer requests of specific products to store manager Offer alternatives to the customers if the product is not available. General: Demonstrate self-discipline regards to dress code, attendance, hygiene and time keeping.
Announce the promotions run by the shop and loyalty program Reporting acts of dishonesty related to shrinkage and fraud to your line manager by e mail Demonstrate self-discipline with regards to attendance, dress code policy, hygiene and time keeping Job Type: Full-time Salary: From AED2,400.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
